A Fountain beside Centennial Hall

The Wrocław Multimedia Fountain occupies a former basin by the Pergola, right next to Centennial Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its water surface covers roughly a hectare, making it one of the largest installations of its kind in Poland and in Europe. It was created as a gift to the city's residents marking the anniversary of Poland's first free elections.

The Shows

The heart of the attraction are the water, light and sound shows, repeated regularly from early spring to autumn. They last from a few to well over a dozen minutes and are accompanied by classical and contemporary music. Jets rise dozens of metres; hidden in the basin floor are water nozzles, light points and fire nozzles, while in the evening images are projected onto a curtain of water.

The Surroundings

The fountain lies in a recreation complex with Centennial Hall, the Pergola, the Wrocław zoo and the Afrykarium — easy to combine with a full day of sightseeing. Entry to the fountain grounds is free, wide paths and benches surround the basin, and dogs are welcome on a lead.
