The old countryside in miniature

The Museum of Milling and Agriculture in Osieczna grew around historic windmills standing on a rise above the town in the Leszno district. It shows how work in the fields and in the mill looked before machines took over.

What to see

The collection includes the windmills, a model of a water mill, everyday utensils from old cottages, carpenters' tools and a set of farm machines, alongside historical and archaeological objects. Children have an enclosure with farm animals and activities run by museum staff.

For families

For an extra fee visitors can join workshops and history lessons, ride around the grounds on a tractor and take home a loaf of traditionally baked bread. A café serving regional products operates on site. A visit combines walking in the open air with indoor displays.
