ul. Jaszczurza Góra 10, Mrągowo
The amphitheatre by Lake Czos stands on the slope along Jaszczurza Góra street in Mrągowo, in the heart of Masuria. In its present form the venue opened in 2012 and is run by the Mrągowo Culture Centre. The auditorium seats more than five thousand people and is divided into four sectors, with dedicated places for visitors with disabilities.
This is the town's main open-air stage. It hosts the Mrągowo Days, the Country Picnic, the Masurian Cabaret Night and the Borderlands Culture Festival, with concerts and reviews filling out the summer programme. The amphitheatre is not open for sightseeing — entry is possible only with a ticket for a specific event.
The venue is clearly visible from the nearby viewpoint above Lake Czos, which offers a panorama of the water and the forests around Mrągowo. The lakeshore holds a beach, a promenade and walking paths, and the town centre is close by. It makes a convenient stop on a tour of the Great Masurian Lakes.
