The Chopin Manor in the Spa Park

The Spa Theatre, also known as the Fryderyk Chopin Manor, stands in the middle of the Spa Park in Duszniki-Zdrój. The building was erected at the beginning of the 19th century, between 1802 and 1805, as a venue for concerts and gatherings of the resort's guests.

The Chopin tradition

The name commemorates Fryderyk Chopin, who stayed in Duszniki for treatment and gave concerts here. A monument to the composer stands in front of the entrance, funded to mark the anniversary of that visit. Today the manor remains the main stage of the International Chopin Festival, one of the oldest piano festivals in the world.

Who it suits

The place appeals above all to music lovers, but the building and its setting are worth a short stop on any walk through the spa town. Beyond the Chopin festival, concerts and music reviews are held here throughout the year. The Spa Park, with its avenues, greenery and resort architecture, makes a natural extension of the visit.
