The Princess's Pavilion

The palace stands in the centre of Krzeszowice, a former spa town at the foot of the Tenczynek Ridge, about 25 km west of Cracow. The Classicist pavilion was built in the second half of the 18th century on the initiative of Princess Izabela Lubomirska as a venue for entertainment and social gatherings, open to visitors of every social standing.

Visual Arts Gallery

Since 2005 the interiors have housed a gallery run by the local cultural centre. It presents changing exhibitions of contemporary art — painting, photography, prints and installations — and the contrast between the historic rooms and modern works is its main asset. Workshops and meetings with artists are held here as well.

The Surroundings

Krzeszowice lies on the Trail of the Eagles' Nests, next to the Kraków Valleys Landscape Park. The town itself offers the Potocki Palace and the neo-Gothic church of St Martin, while the Racławka and Eliaszówka valleys are a short drive away.
