The museum in Sulejówek

The Józef Piłsudski Museum operates in Sulejówek near Warsaw, on the grounds of the Marshal's former property. The heart of the complex is the Milusin manor house, while the main display occupies a modern pavilion opened in August 2020, on the eve of the centenary of the Battle of Warsaw.

The exhibition

The permanent display leads through five periods of Piłsudski's life, from his youth and conspiratorial activity to the years of government in the reborn Poland. Alongside personal mementoes it shows the realities of the age: politics, the army and daily life at the turn of the twentieth century. The multimedia storytelling keeps the visit clear even for those unfamiliar with the subject.

For families

The institution runs educational workshops, participatory guided tours and garden activities, and its family programme uses 3D printing as well as woodworking and sewing. A restaurant and a souvenir shop operate on site, and the building is adapted to the needs of wheelchair users.
