The manor where Paderewski lived

The manor and park complex in Kąśna Dolna, between Tarnów and Nowy Sącz, is the only surviving place in Poland where Ignacy Jan Paderewski lived and composed. The outstanding pianist and statesman owned this estate in Lesser Poland in the late 19th century.

What you will see inside

The interiors house an exhibition devoted to the artist's musical and political career: personal mementoes, documents and objects linked to his public activity. A visit takes about an hour, and tickets and publications are sold at the Creative Work House within the manor and park complex.

The park and concert life

The manor is surrounded by a sixteen-hectare English-style park, ideal for a quiet walk after seeing the exhibition. The site remains a living cultural centre — concerts, music festivals and educational events are held here, so it is worth checking the current programme before arriving.
