Zameczek 1, Wisła
The complex known as the Zameczek in Wisła — the Upper Castle, the Lower Castle with the Gamekeeper's Lodge and a wooden chapel of 1909 — is a modernist creation of the interwar period. It was funded by Silesia and presented as a gift to President Ignacy Mościcki and his successors.
The residence is open to tourists on selected days of the week. A guide leads visitors through the state rooms and the chapel, and a tour usually takes about an hour. It is worth booking by phone in advance, as the site is closed during official visits.
The complex lies in the Silesian Beskids, near the valleys of the Biała and Czarna Wisełka — the streams that give rise to Poland's largest river. It makes a convenient starting point for trails towards Barania Góra and Stożek. The Lower Castle and the Lodge offer accommodation and leisure facilities.
