Gorzanów Palace is an extensive residential complex in a village on the Nysa Kłodzka river, between Bystrzyca Kłodzka and Kłodzko. It was built in the second half of the 16th century and counts among the most interesting examples of East German Renaissance architecture in Lower Silesia. For centuries it was a seat of the Austrian Herberstein family.
After 1945 the palace was turned into quarters for resettled families, which began its devastation. Since 2012 it has been cared for by the Gorzanów Palace Foundation, saving the walls, ceilings and decoration step by step. The host of the site guides visitors through the recovered interiors and the ongoing works.
The halls and the courtyard host vernissages, antique markets, fairs and concerts. Admission is free, but a donation supports further repairs. Gorzanów lies on the route through the Kłodzko region, close to Bystrzyca Kłodzka, Polanica-Zdrój and Kłodzko Fortress.
