Orłowska 12, Gdynia
The pier in Orłowo is a wooden jetty about 180 metres long, reaching into the Bay of Gdańsk in the southern district of Gdynia. It was built before the city itself, first as a mooring for small vessels and a walkway for patients of the nearby sanatorium.
From the deck you can see the steep slopes of the Orłowo Cliff, the beach at its foot and the Summer Stage of the Gdynia Municipal Theatre. The pier is open at any hour and free of charge, unlike the one in Sopot. Access leads from the cliff or along the Queen Marysieńka Promenade, lined with restaurants.
This is a spot for a short walk, sunset photographs and a rest on the neighbouring beach, popular with couples as well. The nearest paid car park lies about 250 metres from the jetty, worth noting when planning a stop with a larger vehicle.
