Kołobrzeg's seaside walkway

The promenade, also known as the Jan Szymański boulevard, runs along the town beach in Kołobrzeg for about half a kilometre between the lighthouse and the pier. It is the busiest part of the resort's seafront and at the same time a convenient walking link between its main attractions.

What to see

Cafés, restaurants and souvenir stalls line the walkway, while fountains set into the paving turn into a paddling spot for children in summer. From the promenade you step straight onto the sandy beach, walk onto the pier and reach the harbour, from where excursion boats set off along the coast.

Good to know

The route is level, wide and free of barriers, so it works well for a walk with a pushchair or a dog. It gets fairly crowded in season, and the most pleasant times are early morning and after sunset, when the lighthouse and pier are lit up.
