The City Park lies right in the middle of Stalowa Wola, a few minutes' walk from the main streets. It is the town's most popular recreational space: well shaded, crossed by a network of paths and arranged to invite both a short break and a longer stroll.
The layout centres on a promenade running along a small stream some three hundred metres long; two arched footbridges cross it and a fountain basin is built into its bed. Two monuments stand among the greenery — Icarus and Daedalus, and a composition of birds on a circular granite base — both illuminated after dark. The tree stock includes pines, yews and junipers, complemented by colourful flower beds.
The park works well as an outing with children: there are two playgrounds and a multi-purpose sports pitch. The walking and cycling paths have a hard surface, so a pushchair passes easily. Entry is free and the grounds are open all year.
