A green oasis in the centre of Rzeszów

The Bernardine Gardens in Rzeszów are a park in the very heart of the city, at the foot of the Bernardine monastery complex. Opened to residents and visitors in 2013, they have since become one of the most popular green spaces in the densely built-up centre.

What to see

Several thousand ornamental plants have been planted here and can be admired from the paths and the many benches. The central part is taken up by fountains with a small island reached by four footbridges. After dark the gardens and fountains are attractively illuminated, so an evening stroll is just as rewarding as a daytime visit.

Who it suits

This is a place for a short rest while sightseeing in Rzeszów: for families with children, walkers and wheelchair users, as the paths are level and wide. A free wireless network is available in the park.
