Promenade along the Warta

Bulwar Nadwarciański runs along the bank of the Warta in the centre of Gorzów Wielkopolski. Above the waterfront passes a historic railway viaduct more than a hundred years old, the longest structure of its kind in Poland. Restaurants are built into its brick arches, setting out garden seating right under the tracks in summer.

What to see

Along the promenade there is a playground, a bird aviary and a sundial. Since 2019 the boulevard has been extended by a walking and cycling path ending in a recreation area with a shelter, a cycling clearing and a viewpoint over the city panorama. It looks best at dusk, with the viaduct illuminated.

Who it suits

It makes a good stop for a short walk and a coffee while sightseeing in Gorzów. The surface is level and paved, so the route works with a pushchair or a bicycle, and dogs are welcome. The area is open all year round, though it is busiest on summer evenings.
