aleja Lubomirskich, Rzeszów
The Multimedia Fountain in Rzeszów operates on aleja Lubomirskich in the city centre, close to the castle. After dark it becomes one of the most visited attractions in town, drawing residents as well as travellers passing through the Subcarpathian region.
The installation consists of 1,465 nozzles and 324 LED floodlights, with jets of water thrown up to eight metres high. Images projected onto the water curtain combine with music and light into spectacles lasting a good quarter of an hour. Shows run daily from June to September, sometimes with live music or actors, so it is worth checking the schedule before setting out.
An amphitheatre with around 300 seats was built around the fountain, so the show can be watched comfortably and from a good angle. The ground is flat and paved, and a park, the castle and the Rzeszów market square with its underground tourist route are all nearby.
