The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Leśniów lies in Leśniów, a district of Żarki in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It comprises the church, the Pauline monastery and an extensive garden complex. The object of veneration is a wooden figure of the Virgin and Child, brought here by tradition in the 14th century.
The body of the church dates from the 16th century and the facade was added in the 18th. The interior is Baroque and Rococo in form, while older Gothic and Renaissance elements survive in the chancel and nave. The Pauline fathers have cared for the site since the 18th century.
A monastery garden spreads around it, with Stations of the Cross, rosary shrines and a spring reached by an avenue. There is a pilgrims' house, and retreats and family gatherings are held here. The Jurassic trails and limestone outcrops around Żarki are close by.
