The Marian Sanctuary at Wiktorówki, also known as the Sanctuary of Our Lady Queen of the Tatras, lies within the Tatra National Park near Rusinowa Polana, on the blue waymarked trail. It is run by Dominican friars, who keep a monastery here. It is the only sanctuary situated in the Polish Tatras.
The place of worship grew out of apparitions reported in 1860 by a young shepherdess, Marysia Murzańska. The Church never recognised the events, yet in 1921 the faithful built a chapel here; destroyed under the weight of snow, it was rebuilt in 1936 and enlarged two decades later. Cardinal Karol Wojtyła was a frequent visitor.
The small wooden church rests on a stone base and follows the regional Podhale style. Inside, the altar carved with highlander motifs and the figure of Our Lady of Jaworzyna draw the eye. The sanctuary can be reached only on foot, along trails from Zazadnia or Palenica Białczańska.
