A pier in the Gdańsk district of Brzeźno

The pier in Brzeźno reaches into the Bay of Gdańsk from the beach in the northern part of Gdańsk. The first structure was built here in 1900 and measured about 100 metres; the present one is 136 metres long and 7.2 metres wide.

What to do here

A walk to the end of the pier offers a view of the bay and the panorama of the port, and in the evening the pier is illuminated. At its base there is a year-round restaurant and a bar, public toilets and a water rescue centre. Next to it lies the guarded bathing area Gdańsk-Brzeźno with a wide sandy beach.

When to come

The pier is accessible all year and free of charge, but the summer season has its own rhythm here: concerts and open-air events take place and the seaside promenade can get very crowded. Outside the season what remains is a quiet walk with a sea view.
