Wieś Pomiechówek
The forest educational trail in Pomiechówek in Mazovia is a roughly four-kilometre route through the woods of the local forest district, close to the forester's lodge. It is called “A Year in the Forest” and is aimed at families with children as well as adults.
Boards set up along the trail carry illustrations from a children's book and show how the forest changes through the seasons and what its inhabitants do at each time of year. A separate attraction is the section running through the tree canopy, which offers a completely different view of the woodland. A learning shelter stands by the forester's lodge, where foresters run classes for groups.
About one kilometre of the route has been adapted for wheelchair users. Walking the whole trail at an unhurried pace takes about an hour. Pomiechówek lies on the Wkra river, close to Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki and the Modlin Fortress.
