Wieś Bliżyn
Piekło Dalejowskie is a nature reserve near Bliżyn, within the Suchedniów-Oblęgorek Landscape Park. It protects a group of white Triassic sandstone outcrops scattered along a belt roughly 130 metres long. The rock blocks vary in height, the tallest reaching four metres, and together they form tiers and ledges.
Narrow ravines, corridors and crevices wind between the boulders, and in several places the rock forms small caves. The largest of them, Duża Grota, is about seven metres long. A separate highlight is Brama Piekielna: three blocks set together in the shape of a gateway, one and a half to two and a half metres high.
The name most likely goes back to the former iron ore mining in the area, as the gruelling work was described as hell on earth. Local folklore explains it differently and credits the arrangement of the rocks to infernal forces. The reserve is explored on foot along forest paths; the ground is stony and steep in places.
