Wieś Kąkolówka
The Mójka reserve covers forests within the villages of Kąkolówka and Futoma in the Dynów Foothills, Rzeszów district. It protects old-growth fir stands mixed with beech and a stream valley with ponds built by beavers, which have reshaped much of the local wetland. It is one of the larger woodland reserves of the Subcarpathian foothills.
About 340 species of vascular plants have been recorded here, several dozen of them protected — bear's garlic, clubmosses, orchids and autumn crocus among them. The beaver ponds attract water birds and amphibians. A curiosity is the boulder called Błędny Kamień (Erratic Stone), once thought to be a meteorite but in fact carried here by the ice sheet.
A nature trail named "Mójka" runs through the reserve in two variants: the shorter Beaver Trail takes about an hour and a half, the longer Deer Trail up to five. The routes run through forest and are boggy in places, so high boots are worth packing.
