Lake Powidzkie

Lake Powidzkie is the largest natural lake in Greater Poland, a glacial channel reservoir located in the Powidz Landscape Park. It is considered one of the best fishing grounds in the region, thanks in part to its clear water (a transparency record of over 10 m in 2023).

Location and surroundings

The lake lies in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, in Słupca County, in the municipalities of Powidz and Ostrowite; Powidz, Giewartów and Przybrodzin are situated on its shores.

What's on offer / What to see

Pike, perch and pikeperch dominate (specimens over 80 cm), while tench, bream, carp, eel and catfish are also plentiful. From 1 November to 30 April fishing is allowed only from the shore, and from 1 May to 31 October it is also permitted from a boat.
