Wieś Przytocznica
Jodły Ostrzeszowskie is a forest nature reserve in the Ostrzeszów district of southern Greater Poland, near the village of Przytocznica. It protects a stretch of mixed woodland lying at the edge of the natural northern range of the silver fir, the Norway spruce and the common beech. The overlap of these range limits gives the stand a transitional character between lowland and upland forest.
Several plant communities occur within a small area: continental mixed coniferous forest, boreal spruce forest, alder carr and ash-alder riparian woodland, and in the wetter spots also open purple moor-grass meadows. The protected interrupted clubmoss grows here, and one local rarity is the fen ragwort, whose northern range limit runs through Greater Poland.
The most convenient approach follows the green waymarked trail from Grabów nad Prosną towards Domanin. Walking through the reserve takes about two hours along forest tracks; the ground is boggy in places, so waterproof footwear is useful. Movement is restricted to the marked paths.
