Wieś Kamień Mały
The „Olszynki” nature trail runs through the wetland part of Ujście Warty National Park, by the village of Kamień Mały in the Lubusz region. Much of the route follows wooden boardwalks, so areas that are flooded for part of the year can be crossed dry-shod.
The trail is about three kilometres long and has sixteen educational stops with interpretive boards. Walking the whole loop takes roughly two hours, since it is worth pausing at each station. Two picnic shelters stand along the way, and by the car park there is a viewing tower and a covered floating platform.
Cycling is allowed, but bikes must be pushed along the boardwalk sections. Dogs are permitted on a leash only. The terrain is flat and easy and suits children, though a pushchair is awkward on the narrow decking. The best birdwatching falls in spring and autumn, during migration.
