Wieś Jaźwina
The Góra Radunia reserve covers the summit and slopes of Radunia, the neighbour of Ślęża in Lower Silesia, near the village of Jaźwina. It protects rare plant communities that developed on serpentinite bedrock, which imposes unusual and demanding soil conditions on plants.
Fescue and rock garlic grow on the rocky grasslands, while steppe bedstraw and honeywort appear in the open oak woods. Serpentine ferns and rare orchids are the real curiosity — in floral richness Radunia surpasses its far better known neighbour Ślęża. This is one of the most valuable sites of its kind in the country.
The hill has long been linked with ancient cults, and traces of stone structures survive on its slopes. A blue trail runs along the edge of the reserve, complemented by an educational path with boards. Do not leave the marked routes, so the fragile grasslands are not damaged.
