Wieś Czernice
The Jezioro Czarne nature reserve lies in the municipality of Murowana Goślina, within the Puszcza Zielonka Landscape Park north of Poznań. It protects a lake gradually overgrowing with vegetation together with the surrounding transitional bog and waterlogged woodland. The area falls into two clearly different parts: a western one dominated by extensive marshland, and an eastern one covered by typical alder carr.
The heart of the reserve is its aquatic and peatland vegetation. Great fen sedge grows here, along with bog clubmoss and both native sundews — round-leaved and great sundew, small carnivorous plants typical of nutrient-poor bogs. Carpets of peat moss are complemented by cranberry, whose red fruit ripens in autumn.
The reserve itself is boggy and hard to enter, so observation is done from its edges. The green Oborniki–Pobiedziska trail and the Large Cycling Ring run alongside, and Lake Zielonka lies nearby. It makes a good base for a day of walking or cycling in Puszcza Zielonka.
