Wieś Huta-Złomy
The Źródła Tanwi reserve lies within the South Roztocze Landscape Park, near the village of Huta Złomy. It protects the headwater area of the Tanew — one of the cleanest rivers in the Roztocze region — together with peat bogs rare in this area and the boggy pine forests surrounding them.
A nature trail called Kobyle Jezioro, about two kilometres long, runs through the reserve. Boards along the route explain the structure of the bog and its vegetation, and a wooden boardwalk crosses the wet ground, allowing a close look at the habitat. The short distance means younger children manage the route easily.
On the bog you will find sundew, bog bilberry and wild rosemary, while pine and birch dominate the damp forests. The undergrowth changes markedly through the season, so the same place looks different in spring and in late summer.
