Lake Sławskie, known as the "Silesian Sea", is the largest lake in the Lubusz Voivodeship (area approx. 8.2 km2, length approx. 9.2 km), located in the Sława Lake District within a protected landscape area. It is a popular angling and recreation body of water.
The lake lies in Wschowa County, in the Sława municipality; the town of Sława is situated on its shore; the Sława Lake District is a bird refuge of European importance.
The lake is home to bream, roach, carp, perch, pikeperch, pike, eel, grass carp, silver carp, catfish, rudd and tench, among others. Fishing requires a fishing card and permit; from the shore you can fish around the clock from 1 June to 30 November, and from a boat until 15 November.
