Wieś Olsztyn
Wzgórze Lipówki rises to 351 metres above sea level in the Częstochowa Upland, right next to Olsztyn near Częstochowa. Its summit is crowned by a treeless comb of limestone rocks, while meadows surround the slopes; the neighbouring hills are Biakło and Cegielnia. The rocks are built of Jurassic limestone and belong to the Olsztyn Rocks group.
The ridge bristles with tors of very different shapes and heights: towers, walls, mushroom-like forms and single pillars. Classic karst features are visible here — flutes, ribs, hollows and rock chimneys. The hill also holds Jaskinia w Lipówce, one of many caves in this part of the Jura.
Lipówki is a popular climbing area, with routes on Grzybki and Płetwa as well as on the Urwista and Podcięta towers. For everyone else it is above all an easy walk with a wide view over the Jurassic hills and the nearby castle ruins in Olsztyn.
