Jeziorko Mleczarskie is a small artificial reservoir in Bartoszyce, fed by the waters of the Suszyca river. It was created to serve the town mill, which it powered for years, and today it is purely a recreational spot. Its colloquial name comes from a dairy that once operated nearby. The lake lies within the town limits, on Kętrzyńska Street, within walking distance of the centre.
Walking paths with numerous benches run around the water, and a bathing area has been arranged along the shore. There are three beach volleyball courts and an outdoor gym, which makes the place work equally well for a short stop and for a longer rest with children. In the summer season a lifeguard watches over swimmers.
The site is open to everyone all year round, although it shows its full potential in summer. Bartoszyce is a convenient base for exploring northern Masuria and the Łyna valley; the town itself has preserved a Gothic church and fragments of its former fortifications.
