A bathing spot in a former sand pit

Przybyłów Reservoir is an artificial body of water in Gorzyce, in the Tarnobrzeg district, created in a pit left by sand extraction. Today it is one of the better equipped bathing sites in this part of Subcarpathia, looked after by the municipal sports and recreation centre. Tarnobrzeg and Sandomierz are both a short drive away, so it gets busy on hot days.

Beach and water

The shore has a sandy beach with a marked-out bathing area supervised by lifeguards in season. There is a water equipment rental point, outdoor showers and sanitary facilities, including toilets adapted for people with disabilities. Surfaced approaches make it easier to get around with a pushchair or wheelchair.

Good to know

In summer open-air events are held on the grounds beside the reservoir, so a weekend swim can be combined with a local happening. Outside the season the bathing area is unsupervised, but the site stays open for a walk around the water. Current information on how the bathing area operates is published by the Gorzyce municipality.
