A small equine-therapy farm in Łubki, in the Tarnowskie Góry district, focuses on direct contact with animals. Alongside horses and ponies it keeps alpacas and Valais Blacknose sheep, recognisable by their dark faces and long fleece. The place sits away from the main tourist routes, in the farming landscape of the northern part of the Silesian Voivodeship.
Pony rides are the core of the offer and for many children the first meeting with a horse in their life. The farm also runs hippotherapy supervised by instructors and alpaca sessions, including walks with these unusually calm animals. Children's birthday parties, kindergarten and school trips are arranged, and the animals are sometimes brought to the institutions themselves.
A visit has to be booked in advance by phone — this is not a site open for casual sightseeing. The ground is flat, so moving around with a pushchair causes no difficulty. Allow roughly an hour and a half for a single session.
