A maze in the maize field near Zator

A network of paths forming a maze of living maize has been laid out on a field of about 3.5 hectares. Themed zones refer to different regions of Europe, and each successive turn reveals models of well-known buildings and figures. The attraction lies in Zator, some 200 metres from Energylandia and from the Zator Park Rozrywki railway stop.

How the game works

The visit takes the form of an outdoor game: visitors solve riddles, recognise symbols and collect stamps in an Explorer's Passport. Along the route there are educational stops, a sensory path and points prepared for photographs. Beyond the maze itself there are mini family games, so the visit does not end with finding the way out.

Who it suits and when

The place is designed for families with children, organised groups and school trips. A maze made of growing maize works seasonally — only once the plants reach the right height, that is from high summer. The paths are unpaved, so they can get muddy after rain.
