The Czersko Polskie Lock is a modern, single-chamber lock at the mouth of the Brda into the Vistula in Bydgoszcz, an important junction of the E70 waterway.

Location and surroundings

The lock is located in the Czersko Polskie area of Bydgoszcz, at the mouth of the Brda into the Vistula, in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.

History

The Czersko Polskie Lock replaced the former lock at Brdyujście in 2002. It is a single-chamber lock with a reinforced-concrete dock structure.

What to see

A lock measuring 115 x 12 m, allowing vessels to overcome a level difference of about 4.9 m between the Brda and the Vistula. It is a point on the region's Hydrotechnical Monuments Trail.
