The Kłodnica Lock is a twin-chamber lock closing the Gliwice Canal from the Oder side, one of the most impressive hydrotechnical structures of this waterway, with a level difference reaching about 11 m.
The lock is located in the Kłodnica district of Kędzierzyn-Koźle, in the Opole Voivodeship, in the area where the Gliwice Canal joins the Oder. Nearby, relics of the former Kłodnica Canal have also survived and are entered in the register of monuments.
The Gliwice Canal, built in 1934-1939, replaced the older Kłodnica Canal. The Kłodnica Lock belongs to the group of six twin-chamber locks of the canal. The Kłodnica Canal complex in the Opole Voivodeship is under heritage protection.
