The lock of the Dwory water step is a hydro-engineering structure of the Upper Vistula Cascade, located on the navigation canal below Oświęcim.
The lock is located on the Oświęcim-Przeciszów navigation canal (approx. km 2+950), below Oświęcim, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The Dwory water step is one of the six steps of the Upper Vistula Cascade (Dwory, Smolice, Łączany, Kościuszko, Dąbie, Przewóz).
The Dwory step was built as part of the regulation and hydro-engineering development of the upper Vistula, serving navigation, power generation and flood protection.
A lock with a large chamber (12 x 190 m) together with a sector weir on the Vistula, enabling navigation on the upper Vistula.
