The Kąty Inclined Plane is the second (counting from Ostróda) of the five inclined planes of the Elbląg Canal - a unique system of inclined planes that allow water level differences to be overcome by hauling vessels along a track on carriages (the so-called ships that sail over grass).
Between 2012 and 2014 the inclined plane was renovated (concrete quays, mooring dolphins, shelters with benches, a car park).
Season: 28 April - 30 September, daily 7:00-19:00.
The village of Kąty, access via local roads; there is a car park at the site. Nearby is Krasin (dining).
