Koszalin Narrow-Gauge Railway

The Koszalin Narrow-Gauge Railway is a historic railway with a 750 mm gauge, operating seasonally on the Koszalin Wąskotorowy - Rosnowo route (about 20 km).

Location and surroundings

The route leads from Koszalin towards Rosnowo, through forested areas and along Lake Rosnowskie.

History

The railway was established in 1898, initially connecting Koszalin, Manowo and Nacław. The network was expanded in the first decades of the 20th century (over 200 km). After 1945 it was partly dismantled, then rebuilt by PKP in 1948. Services ended in 2001 and were reactivated in 2005 thanks to the Koszalin Narrow-Gauge Railway Society.
