The Świętokrzyska Commuter Railway, operating under the name "Ciuchcia Ponidzie", is a historic narrow-gauge railway with a 750 mm gauge, running through the charming Ponidzie region.
The historic Jędrzejów - Pińczów route (about 31 km) runs through the picturesque Ponidzie region in the southern part of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
The first section was built by the Austrian army in February 1915 for military purposes. In 1917 it was given the name Jędrzejów Commuter Railway, and in 1930 it was taken over by PKP. Services were suspended between 1987 and 1993, and tourist rides were launched in 1998.
An attraction for tourists exploring Ponidzie and lovers of historic railways.
Services in the summer season, on Sundays (departure from Jędrzejów around 10:00, return around 18:00); special trains on request. The route is sometimes shortened due to renovations.
