The San around Sanok is a popular route for kayak and pontoon trips in the Bieszczady Mountains. The Kajaki Sanok rental company has organised trips since 2011, with a base in Sanok on ul. Białogórska (by the bridge leading to the open-air museum).
The trips take place on a scenic stretch of the San, including from Zwierzyń to Przemyśl (155 km). The route runs through the area at the gateway to the Bieszczady.
Sample routes: Załuż–Sanok (12 km, 2–3 hrs), Lesko–Sanok (24 km, 4–5 hrs), Zwierzyń–Sanok (35 km, 6–8 hrs), Sanok–Ulucz (22 km, 4–5 hrs), Sanok–Ostrów (118 km, 2–5 days).
Routes of varying length are available — from short family trips to multi-day expeditions.
Kayak and canoe rental, return transport to the starting point, parking at the base.
Open Mon–Sun 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Trips take place only at medium water levels.
Base in Sanok on ul. Białogórska (parking in front of the bridge to the open-air museum, opposite the Bona hotel).
