Narrow-Gauge Railway Museum in Sochaczew

The Narrow-Gauge Railway Museum in Sochaczew, together with the Sochaczew Museum Railway (750 mm gauge), is one of the largest narrow-gauge railway museums in Europe, offering seasonal rides with historic train sets.

Location and surroundings

The museum is located about 200 m from the Sochaczew railway station. Tourist rides run on the Sochaczew - Wilcze Tułowskie route, with stops including Sochaczew-Chodaków, Brochów-Kolonia and Tułowice.

History

The railway opened on 1 October 1922, and in 1923 it was extended to Piaski Królewskie. Regular services ended on 30 November 1984. The museum was established in 1986, and seasonal tourist services were resumed in 1990.

What to see

A rich collection of narrow-gauge rolling stock and rides in historic carriages (Px29 steam locomotive, Lxd2 diesel locomotive or a railcar).
