Krośnica Narrow-Gauge Railway

The Krośnica Narrow-Gauge Railway is a newer 750 mm gauge railway in Krośnice (Milicz County), running along a roughly 3-kilometre route made up of two connected loops.

Location and surroundings

The railway runs through the recreational grounds of Krośnice, passing among others a palace, a park and ponds; its stops include Pałac Krośnice, Park, Stawy, Piramida and Pałac Wierzchowice.

History

Construction began in April 2011 and the railway was opened on 25 May 2013 on the initiative of the Krośnice municipality, with EU funding (Regional Operational Programme). The rails were provided by the Lower Silesian regional authority.
