Black Trout Adit in Tarnowskie Góry

The Black Trout Adit is a unique, roughly 600-metre section of the 19th-century Fryderyk drainage adit, which is toured by boat. The site is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Location and surroundings

The adit is located in the Repty Park in Tarnowskie Góry, Silesian Voivodeship. Access is from ul. Repecka.

History and what to see

The tour begins by descending stairs to an underground wharf, from where tourists sail by boat through the adit corridor carved in dolomite, lit by lamps. Along the way you can observe the original adit corridor and small dripstone formations.
