The Old Mine is a Centre of Science, Culture and Art established on the grounds of the former "Julia" ("Thorez") Hard Coal Mine - a revitalised complex of historic mining buildings with an underground route.
The site is located in the Biały Kamień district of Wałbrzych, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The complex opened in November 2014 as a group of eleven revitalised buildings of the former mine. The underground route covers a several-hundred-metre section connecting the stone haulage gallery with the training adit where mining apprentices were trained.
For individual tourists, families and groups; a rich exhibition and educational offer.
Underground visits only with a guide (meeting on the hour); restaurant, exhibition spaces.
Open daily 10:00-18:00, last entry at 16:00.
