"Aurelia" Gold Mine in Złotoryja

The "Aurelia" Gold Mine is a small, historic adit open to tourists in Złotoryja - a historic gold-mining and metalworking centre in the Kaczawa Foothills.

The site is located in Złotoryja in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in the Kaczawa Foothills.

History and what to see

The adit was created in 1660 as an approximately 100-metre working gallery, originally driven in search of copper ore. It has been open to visitors since 1973. The route is approx. 100 m long; visitors can pan for gold recreationally at the mine.
