Viaducts of the Owl Mountains Railway

Monumental viaducts on the route of the former Owl Mountains Railway (Eulengebirgsbahn) in the Owl Mountains, built at the beginning of the 20th century. The line connected the mines of Nowa Ruda with the textile industry of Dzierżoniów, Bielawa and Pieszyce.

Structure

  • Żdanów Viaduct - approx. 24 m high.
  • Srebrna Góra Viaduct - approx. 28 m high.
  • Total length approx. 260 m.

History of the line

Opened in stages between 1900 and 1903. The entire mountain railway line is listed in the register of monuments.
