Railway Viaduct in Gorzów Wielkopolski

A historic elevated railway on railway line No. 203 (Kostrzyn - Tczew), running along the valley of the Warta river in Gorzów. The longest technical structure of its kind in Poland.

Structure

  • Total length of approx. 2,116 m.
  • About 70 arcades with parabolic arches, separated by five steel viaducts over the streets.
  • Built between 1910 and 1914 as a prototype of the viaducts for Berlin and Wrocław.

Status

In the register of monuments since 2 June 2009. After modernisation, traffic resumed in 2019.
