Railway Bridge in Rutki

A picturesque railway bridge in Kashubian Switzerland, built in 1886 on the Pruszcz Gdański - Żukowo - Kartuzy line. It connects the banks of the Radunia river.

Structure

  • A truss bridge with a rarely encountered inverted arch of the central span.
  • Height of approx. 30 m, length of approx. 100 m.
  • Blown up at the end of World War II and rebuilt.

Interesting facts

Climbing routes have been laid out on the 25-metre piers. After renovation, the bridge underwent a load test of over 350 tonnes.
