Historic Railway Bridge in Kunowo

A metal railway bridge approx. 44 m long, a relic of the now non-passenger railway line No. 231 connecting Inowrocław with Mogilno via Kruszwica and Strzelno.

History

  • The steel span was made in Wrocław and installed in 1892 between two stone-and-concrete supports.
  • The first passenger train reached Kunowo and Strzelno on 15 October 1892.

Current state

Currently, mainly the Inowrocław - Kruszwica section remains active (freight traffic); the remaining embankments are sometimes considered for cycling paths.
