Railway Viaduct in Glaznoty

A historic railway viaduct from 1909 in the Dylewo Hills, with three spans and exceptional architectural value. It crosses over a road and the valley of the Gizela River.

Significance

  • It was one of 25 such structures on the Ostróda - Turza Wielka line and the most impressive engineering structure along this route.
  • After the bridge in Stańczyki, it is the second-highest historic viaduct in this part of Poland.

Revitalisation

In 2018 the structure underwent revitalisation as a tourist attraction (worth about PLN 1.8 million from EU funds).
